While writing this album, the guitar and lyrics at least I tried to draw from a lot of things. the current state of the world, my varying moods and outlooks on my personal life, people I love and people that I've felt slighted by, but overall I think this is an album about love and absolute horrified anxiousness. It's about the viscera blissfully surreal young love I have for my partner, the wholesome cup-of-hot-chocolate love I have for my friends, and childish wide eyed love I still have for the world around me. It's also about the fear of growing up, the anxiety of bad highs, the dread of the fascistic world that we've come to live in, the senseless violence, the dissociative fits that seem to come in stronger and stronger waves. All of these sentiments and feelings were brought to some kind of buzzing uncanny life by Nora, who I cannot praise enough, a genuinely wonderful and endlessly talented human being. I'm still in awe at the tones and noises and real primal feelings she can pull out of these machines. She gives context to my words and to my often atonal singing voice. Anyway, to end off this flowery write up on this project, I'd like to say that all this is, is a fleeting recording of two mammals shouting their blisses and tribulations into a metal box.
